New Patients

To help you become familiar with our office procedures, we have provided some steps on what to expect on your first few visits.

Step 1 (before your first visit) - You can save a lot of time on your first visit by downloading our intake form, printing it, and filling it in before you come in. In order to open and print the form, you must have Adobe PDF Reader 5.0 or later. You can also save more time by faxing us (270-568-6757) both sides of your insurance card and driver's license or other picture ID. Once you have done this, you can call our office (713-467-6999) to make an appointment.

Step 2 (your first visit) - When you come in, you will check in at the front desk and either fill out an intake form or present your intake form, insurance card, and picture ID. You will then be called back to the examination area to be examined. Every patient is provided with a thorough history, a full spinal assessment, static EMG and thermal scans, and a regional examination based on any areas of complaint. You will then be sent back to the front desk to be scheduled for a report of findings visit and sent out to our nearby imaging facility for x-rays, if necessary. Your report of findings visit should ideally be scheduled the next day or as soon after your examination as possible. This will allow us the time to verify your insurance and go over all of your examination findings and put together a treatment plan specifically for you. It is recommended to bring a spouse or the financial decision-maker in the family to the report of findings.

Step 3 (the report of findings) - When you come in, you will check in at the front desk and be taken to the findings room. This is the most important visit as this is where we will answer your four most important questions:
1. What is wrong with me?
2. Can you fix it?
3. How long will it take?
4. How much will it cost?
In addition, you will be allowed to ask any other questions that you may have. You will then be provided with a number of different treatment and financial options that will fit your needs.

Step 4 (your first visit and adjustment) - When you come in, you will check in at the front desk and be offered a beverage (water or tea) before being taken to the therapy room. By the way, make sure to wear something comfortable. Tight or revealing clothing could hinder your treatment or make you feel uncomfortable in the clinic. This is where you will receive any therapy other than the adjustment that the doctor has prescribed for you. After you are done with your therapy, you will be taken to the adjusting room where you will be adjusted by your chiropractor. You will then return to the front desk where you will check out and be issued a receipt, if desired. All future visits will follow the same procedure until your first re-examination.
